The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily so they can meet their quota of getting FREE FOOD donated every day to abused and neglected animals in their shelters.
It takes less than a minute (only about 15 seconds actually) to go to their site and click on the purple box titled, ‘Click Here to Give - it’s FREE!’. Every click gives about .6 bowls of food to sheltered dogs. You can also click daily!
Keep in mind that this does not cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising. [via.]
Go to the website here.
doesn’t cost you a cent, just a click.
my dad has now made it evident that i am not allowed to keep Jasper here, who i rescued about a week ago. despite the fact that he’s not aggressive at all, and only needs a firm hand and training, dad refuses to budge on the matter pretty much because he’s completely bought into all the negative stigmas surrounding pit bulls, and i’m being forced to somehow get Jasper into a new home within a week or so.
PLEASE! IF YOU ARE IN TEXAS AND CAN ADOPT/FOSTER JASPER, OR IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO IS WILLING AND CAPABLE OF DOING SO, CONTACT ME. OTHERWISE, PLEASE REBLOG THIS TO GET THE MESSAGE OUT
Jasper is 1 to 2 years old, up-to-date on his shots and is fixed (according to his tags and what little info i got from the previous owner), and i’ve already begun training him basic commands such as sit, stay, and heel - to which he is responding to very well.
i live outside of San Antonio. if you cannot come get Jasper, i would be willing to transport him to you or meet you half-way (to a reasonable extent, unfortunately i cannot afford to drive a distance such as Fort Worth or Galveston).
and as desperate as i am, i’m going to ask that potential adopters/fosters have a secured outdoor space big enough for him to run around without a leash. i do not recommend him to first-time untrained dog owners, or to anyone with cats/small dogs. due to the fact that, while Jas only comes up to about my knee hight at his shoulder, he is energetic and powerful and could potentially harm you or your other pets if you don’t know how to handle him.
please feel free to message me if you have any questions!! i will tag anything concerning him as “about Jas” and will have a link in my sidebar
Signal boosting for Livi. Jasper was previously owned by a huge jerk who lived in my apartment complex. Livi was kind hearted enough to take him from beneath this boy who treated him to terribly. And even though he was put into unsuitable living conditions, I know for a fact Jasper is a very sweet dog.
There were multiple occasions where Jasper was not only in my apartment, but lived in my apartment. He is probably one of the sweetest pitbulls I’ve ever met, and he is definitely friendly. He gets excited, yes, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t a good dog.
He is very loving and sweet, and doesn’t try to hurt people. Granted, he is a strong dog because of his breed, but he only ever tried to show affection. He never harmed a soul.
So if you can’t adopt him, then please signal boost this. Jasper is a wonderful dog who deserves an equally as wonderful home.
Not a beagle, but this dog needs a home. Please signal boost!

finally took a short hike to eagle rock on the pacific crest trail!
What a swine
I have to say, I do judge people by how they treat pets. Yes, it’s important how they treat other people, but for me, animals are really the test, because pets aren’t complex. They give their love, companionship and trust unconditionally. If that means so little to you that you can put a member of your family through this, you are truly filth.
